Today, over 2,000 substances have been banned by the IOC where 30% of that were steriods.
A new designer drug has been detected where over 100 athletes were using a drug that was made by combining four hydrogen atoms and gestrinome, a known steroid.
In the United States alone, over 219,000 teens are using steroids to help them in sports and to help build up their bodies and muscles. These types of drugs have caused complications of the liver and the pancreas and have also resulted in death.
